Australian-made lightweight coated stocks are going up in price in July.

Norske Skog (Australasia) - which commissioned new LWC manufacturing facilities at Boyer, Tasmania, last year - has announced a price increase of A$30/tonne in Australia for all its Vantage LWC range of products.

The company says te price increase takes effect on July 1.

"The main driver for a price increase is based on the increasing costs of imported US$-denominated raw materials used in the production of LWC," says a spokesperson. "The increased prices will also better align Australian prices with LWC prices in other global markets."
