Young executives and industry legends are among those honoured during this Australia's National Print Awards this year.

The annual competition - which acknowledges creativity and craftsmanship in print - also includes a special award for the effective use of digital printing technology.

Entries are open for the 33rd annual National Print Awards, with 18 "freshly revised" print categories and five new design categories to honour creatives and agencies. Last year, almost 700 entries were received from around the country.

Chair Susan Heaney says the awards recognise the best and most inspiring printed work produced in Australia: "Today, the process which was 'inspired by paper' has grown to encompass a vast array of substrates, across a multitude of applications, connecting to a wealth of new and powerful media, to deliver some of the most creative, innovative and exciting print the world has ever seen."

Major sponsor awards honour the Young Executive of the Year - identified as capable of driving not only their own business but the future of the industry - and an Industry Legend who has "pushed their work and business forward, been active in the industry through contribution to associations and who is also prominent in the community outside work".

Entry details are at the National Print Awards website or email printawards@printnet.com.au
