Large papers and small share issues at America East

A mix of both print and digitally-focussed sessions are in the line-up for next week's America East Media Business and Technology Conference.

More than 50 newsmedia industry leaders are slated to speak at the event in Hershey, Pennsylvania, from March 12-14.

The two-and-a-half-day conference will host more than 20 sessions. A keynote panel on the on the challenges and successes of publications of varying size features publisher of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune Michael Klingensmith - who is chairman of the US News Media Alliance - plus Raleigh, North Carolina, News & Observer president Sara Glines, Altoona Mirror general manager Ray Eckenrode, and George Arwady, publisher and chief executive of Advance Publications' The Republican/MassLive.com in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The event - the largest regional newsmedia conference on the US east coast - is administered by Pennsylvania Newsmedia Association and supported by 14 state press associations and media partners (including this year, GXpress Magazine).
