Atex has announced that it has been chosen by German publisher Verlag Nürnberger Presse (VNP) to implement future content management infrastructure for its website and newspapers.

VNP's www.nordbayern.de site scores 35 million page impressions and 7,5 million visits a month, while its newspapers - Nürnberger Nachrichten and Nürnberger Zeitung -have a combined daily circulation of 255.000 copies.

VNP head of IT Alexander Maintok says they were looking for a CMS decoupled from web publishing and print production systems in order to increase flexibility in bringing new products to the market. Atex regional sales director Alexander Podstata says VNP is implementing centralized content management for all their properties with Atex Digital Media and will give all its users access to Digital Media Desk for an unified view of all assets and the ACT contributor tool for multi-channel content production.

"ACT is a browser based, channel neutral, content authoring tool that gives the possibility to target the needs of digital and print publishing as well, with channel specific tagging and previews," he says.

The project will be implemented during the first half of 2018.
