KBA has put Christoph Müller in charge of its Italian flexo press manufacturing subsidiary KBA_Flexotecnica, replacing Claudio Bisogni.

Bisogni, who led the company "with great dedication" before and after its acquisition in December 2013, left the company at the end of last year.

Müller, adds the new role to his duties as managing director of KBA-Digital & Web Solutions, based in Würzburg, and as a member of group management. Flexible packaging specialist KBA_Flexotecnica has its offices in Tavazzano near Milan.

The company says the change is part of a framework of measures to further strengthen its focus on the growing packaging market. It will intensify cooperation between the locations and simplify access to technical and human resources in Würzburg.

In the coming year, KBA plans to open a demo centre in Würzburg, convenient to Frankfurt airport - with opportunities to present both the Flexotecnica presses and other product lines - and is looking the option of allocating additional facilities for assembly of the Italian-designed CI flexo presses.
