WoodWing Software has integrated Sprylab's app creation software into its Enterprise product.

The development extends the relationship with Sprylab, which is one of WoodWing's premium technology partners.

Some users have already integrated the Purple DS module into Enterprise as an end-to-end solution. The link allows publishers to create a story in the digital editor, publishing it as an individual article, and with content an entire print issue, onto an app.

Sprylab chief executive Stephan Heck says well-structured data is the key for multi-channel publishing of the future. "This joint collaboration helps us both reach our full potential. Because of that, we can leverage the full power of multi-channel publishing to our clients."

Using the two systems together, a variety of workflow options are possible - from simple PDF to app publishing or mobile-optimised publishing for phone and tablet.
