No-one from the West as chief executives line up?

Neither Seven West Media chief executive Tim Worner, nor others from the TV and publishing group, are among those slated for the chief executives' panel at this year's Inform News Media Summit.

Organisers NewsMediaWorks have announced an expanded panel which goes beyond the usual line-up of publishers' chiefs, of which there are fewer this year with the acquisition by News Corp of the former APN's Australian regional newspapers.

Moderator and Sky News presented Paul Murray gets to question his boss, Australian News Channel chief executive Angelos Frangopoulos and Michael Miller of News Corp Australia - which owns the channel - as well as Fairfax Media chief Greg Hywood, Network Ten chief executive Paul Anderson, and Macquarie Media chief operating officer Adam Lang.

They join a programme which includes keynote speaker and author Rachel Botsman - billed as "the global authority on the new era of trust" - adjunct professor of marketing at Melbourne Business School and a visiting professor at Singapore Management University Mark Ritson, INMA executive director and chief execiutive Earl Wilkinson, News Australia chief digital officer Nicole Sheffield and Chris Janz, managing director of Fairfax's Australian Metro Publishing division.

Also speaking are news media designer Jacek Utko and social media consultant and founder of social video company HashtagOurStories Sumaiya Omar.

The event - previously known as the Future Forum - is at Sydney's International Convention Centre on September 6, and is open to non-members. The annual Newspaper of the Year Awards dinner follows that evening, with the Advertising and Marketing Awards the following day.
