A host of experts on topics including AI, machine learning and the Internet of Things take the satge at CeBIT Australia in May.

The FutureTech stage will have a succession of experts over two of the three days of the event, being held in Sydney from May 15-17.

Running alongside the Big Data and Analytics, Cloud, eGovernment and Cyber Security conferences will be three curated FutureTech agendas, sharing insights into technologies that address opportunities and challenges for Australian businesses.

Presenters include Professor Toby Walsh, author of 'Machines That Think: The Future of Artificial Intelligence,' and Professor of Artificial Intelligence, UNSW; Tommy Mermelshtayn, Chief Strategy Officer, zipMoney; Dr Fang Chen, Senior Principal Researcher, Data61 - CSIRO and Dr Siamak Tafavogh, Lead Data Scientist, Coca-Cola Amatil.

The discussions take place on May 15-16.

Hannover Fairs Australia managing director Harvey Stockbridge says CeBIT Australia will maximise the discussions and perspectives of industry experts throughout the programme. "The FutureTech Stage will play an integral role in examining what the future of our industry will look like, covering all aspects of technology that will have the most impact on organisations.

"These sessions are short snapshots yet deliver the most important information succinctly and in an understandable way."

One topic is fixing machine learning to deliver 'ethical personalisation', while another will address the impact of AI and machine learning technologies on businesses and society. In 'IAG's AI journey', the topic is when (not) to apply AI in marketing and customer experience.

Finally, beyond the age of digital computing, what lies ahead for the future of quantum computing?

CeBIT Australia takes place from May 15-17 at International Convention Centre Sydney, Darling Harbour.
