Mark Hainsworth has rejoined Harland Simon as business development director to focus on the company's diversification strategies.

He had worked for Harland Simon from 1997-2001, before moving to South Africa, and was instrumental in establishing the business in the US. His time in South Africa included account executive roles with global IT services and solutions provider CSC Computer Sciences (now DXC Technology).

Back in the UK, he says he has fond memories of his time at Harland Simon: "I am impressed to see how the company has established itself in new markets with real-time location systems and RFID tracking solutions since my departure.

"It will be exciting to help develop these new opportunities with many old friends."

Chief executive Evelyn Ashman says Hainsworth (right) brings more than two decades of general management, business development and industrial marketing experience, "which is going to be invaluable for the growth of our new business areas".
