Clever Guardian app personalises readers' iPhone experience: See video

A clever iPhone app which personalises daily news and features could be a big winner for the UK’s Guardian News & Media, which earlier this month reported a £57 million loss. The publisher says it has sold 68,979 copies of its premium iPhone app since launching in December, at costs between £2.39 and US$3.99. One commentator speculated that sales could equate to more than US$3 million in a year. Guardian.co.uk has expanded availability of the app to include the US, Ireland, most European countries, Australia and Canada. The app allows readers to personalise the news which is delivered to their Apple iPhones, presenting features and other content they are specifically interested in. See the iPhone application:
