EidosMedia picks manroland exec for Australia launch

Systems developer EidosMedia, creators of the Méthode editorial platform – have established a Sydney-based subsidiary, headed by former manroland executive Lodovico de Briganti.

Fairfax Media’s Financial Review Group has been using the platform since 2009 to produce print and digital editions of the ‘Australian Financial Review’ and a portfolio of magazines, supplements and associated portals for the Australian and Asian markets.

GXpress understands EidosMedia is expected to announce further local orders shortly.

Group chief executive Gabriella Franzini says the Pacific region is home to some of the most forward-looking news-media organizations in the world: “We have opened the new subsidiary to be closer to new and existing customers in the region,” she says.

As general manager of the Australian operations de Briganti brings experience in IT solutions for the publishing sector. He worked for manroland in Germany where as vice-president for business development, and has publishing sector experience with companies including Unisys and Accenture. His international experience includes projects in France, Germany, the UK, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Brazil, the USA and Asia.

A keen rugby player, he played in the Italian 1st division for ten years, as well as representing Italy at University and B level.
