Presteligence says the Frederick News-Post in Maryland will use its NewsXtreme workflow to manage print production and provide a portal for print customers.

FNP Printing will use the NewsXtreme Portal to provide a website where commercial print customers can upload files, schedule jobs, designate coloured pages and proof pages. The customer-facing utility provides email notifications, archive "and peace of mind" compared to FTP file transfer, the company says.

Ogden Newspapers corporate production director Rusty Hampton says the system is extremely flexible, and the portal will make commercial work easier.

Additionally, Xtreme Inking will provide ink presets and other modules will automate schedule creation and provide ink optimisation.
