Printers and publishers in the Philippines had the opportunity to get closer to KBA during presentations for PIAP members.

Although sheetfed-focussed, the event organised with local agent Caledonian International Corporation was an opportunity for customers to get to know new Asia Pacific managing director Andreas Friedrich, who succeeded Stefan Segger in October. Segger has moved to Germany to head the company's key Digital & Web Solutions growth business.

Some 80 print professionals and members of Printing Industries Association of the Philippines attended an event focussed on production management and Industry 4.0. Friedrich and sheetfed workflow expert Chris Waschke spoke about modern workflow solutions.

The new managing director introduced the KBA Group as "an especially versatile and strong partner" of the print industry worldwide, with a comprehensive product portfolio in varied market segments, know-how in inline finishing and new offers to further optimise postpress processes.

Andreas Friedrich was previously web sales and service general manager for China, North and East Asia, having been active in web press sales since 2001. He has worked at KBA-China in Shanghai since 2005.
