ABB says it is to upgrade reelstands at the Dallas Morning News in Plano, Texas.

The order covers the replacement of the controls and drives on two reelstands on the Wifag OF370 press. New control systems based on ABB's AC500 PLC are scalable and easy to service with ample spare parts available.

Existing drives will be replaced with new ABB ACSM1 motion control drives, with the new systems to be commissioned before the end of the year.
