Upgrades speed newsrooms, ad sales

Upgrades of its Advertising and Content Publisher products have been announced by Newscycle Solutions.

The company says its Advertising 2016-1 ad management release is the core platform for SalesLink, a browser-based tool that integrates ad sales and customer relationship management functionality into a single, responsive application.

It also adds enhancements to an accounts receivable application designed specifically to meet the needs of the Scandinavian market.

Marketing solutions product manager Aubrey Medlay says SalesLink is being beta-tested at several sites, and has been designed using a micro-service structure which means future upgrades will not require a full advertising system upgrade.

The Content Publisher 2016-1 release includes functionality and productivity enhancements to the command centre application, including newsroom collaboration features and greater user control in the edition tracker, search and plan widgets.

Search query capabilities are expanded, and filters in the 'favourite edition' widget can be saved and shared with individual users and group profiles.

"The new release reinforces our commitment to our Unlimited products with key benefits for the entire newsroom, especially addressing the needs publishers have in streamlining print page manufacturing," says product strategies director Kelli Chmielorz. "From a library of Command Center widgets, editorial staff can quickly create user interfaces and customize dashboards to help in day-to-day production processes."
