Consumables maker Printgraph Group says it will open a new factory in Thailand following year-on-year growth of 20 per cent by Malaysian subsidiary PCO EastGate, and two new appointments.

The Italian company led by chief executive Roberto Levi Acobas, has announced the appointment of Lorenzo Benedetto as director of organisation, and Francesco Ferrari as technical director of Printgraph/PCO.

Benedetto - who has 20 years experience in management and business development in companies including Neopost Italy and Neopost Shipping in France - will organise business processes rationalising and optimising the use of the resources in Italy and abroad.

Ferrari will manage the research and development department to study new Finito products and give technical support to the Italian sales team and PCO retailers. He has spent a career in print with roles as Trelleborg's technical service manager and as pressroom manager at Officine Grafiche de Agostini Novara.

Acobas says growth in 2016 came from the success of three flagship Finito products. PCO BV opened branches in France and Germany in 2016, while PCO EastGate's growth is expected to drive continued development in the Asian market.
