Ink pump upgrade delivers accuracy, economy

Goss International has come up with a new way for press users to rebuild or upgrade their old ink fountains or digital ink packs.

The Omni Flow continuous flow ink pump upgrade delivers a precision ink delivery system which outperforms other open ink fountains and ink pumping equipment. The company promises a simple and reliable system which provides the high degree of accuracy required by high quality and cost-conscious printers.

Omni Flow is available as a 'drop-in' system, and can also be used as an upgrade to a standalone system with remote colour adjustment. It also integrates well with some closed-loop colour systems. It is suitable for all continuous inker -metering roll and non-ductor presses - while Tele-Color II presses also require an OmniColor upgrade, and non-Goss presses require a standalone console. Most up-to-date systems require an OmniCon upgrade.

Goss says with the closed system, ink remains free of contamination, ink savings are achieved and dampener solution emulsification is eliminated. Faster make-ready comes from ink being metered according to demand, reduced waste and less startup time to achieve correct density. The system directly delivers the exact amount of ink instead of relying on fountain roll film thickness and ink split. There is no fountain key wear, no need to recalibrate, and no reliance on metering to fountain roll gap.

The ink pump upgrade is available to fit many Goss and non-Goss presses.
