Meriden's multimedia management a smooth go-live

Homebase multimedia and community newspaper publisher RJ Media has upgraded ad tech with a new Miles 33 system.

The 150-year-old, fifth generation family owned business has evolved from the Meriden, Connecticut, "local" to a large group of newspapers and websites, a online web/social media management operation called Homebase Digital, and even an offering of multimedia marketing products.

Miles' Gemstone system - which includes CRM, credit management, self-service and production tracking - is used to sell advertising content for the web, mobile and print as well as digital services and events, and replaces a Newscycle advertising system. It sells everything, managing the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and proposal generation through to order conversion. All rating, production, proofing, placement, fulfilment management, invoicing, credit management, A/R and reporting is through a single, fully hosted platform.

Record-Journal IT manager Dave Mazzaccaro says flexibility and customisation was one of the main reasons for their choice and continued positivity. Issues were handled quickly and effectively.
