Ignatius Low is taking over as chief marketing officer of Singapore Press Holdings as Elsie Chua moves to retirement.

He takes charge of advertisement solutions across the print, digital, radio and outdoor platforms, as well as content marketing, after 18 months as head of media solutions within SPH's integrated marketing division.

Elsie Chua is retiring from the company after 20 years of "distinguished service".

Deputy chief executive Anthony Tan thanked her for dedicated service to SPH, "especially for her stewardship over the past few years as we transitioned to offering multi-platform advertising solutions to meet the changing demands of the market.

"She is a media industry veteran who has helmed everything from print display and classified sales to outdoor advertising and content marketing."

While Low's appointment is effective immediately, he will work with Chua until June to ensure a smooth transition for key clients and partners.

Tan says he is sure Low (pictured) will continue to build a strong value proposition for advertising partners, and accelerate growth in a digital-first environment.
