IFRA Founded in 1961, when European newspaper publishers were beginning to introduce colour, IFRA has since broadened its focus dramatically and currently deals with all issues related to the production of newspapers and to new media as well as media strategy and business models. It has more than 3000 members in about 70 countries.

NPA (PANPA) and Future Forum Now renamed Newspaper Publishers Association, the NPA retains the title of its predecessor PANPA (Pacific Area Newspaper Publishers Association) for some of its activities inacluding the annual Newspaper of the Year awards. A one-day Future Forum event now replaces the former PANPA coneference and Panexpo trade show.

SEANG (South East Asia Newspaper Group) Formed in 2008, the South East Asia Newspaper Group (SEANG) is a technically-focussed association for management engaged in newspaper production in South East Asia. Its first two conferences have been held in October in Bangkok, Thailand.

SWUG Australia Established in 1985, the Australian Single Width Users Group (SWUG) holds an annual conference dedicated to best practice in newspaper production. Since the 2009 event in Albury, NSW, this has been held in March each year.
