Fairfax Media and NZME have confirmed they will not appeal the New Zealand Court of Appeal's decision upholding the New Zealand Commerce Commission decision blocking the proposed merger of NZ subsidiary Stuff and NZME.

Fairfax says Stuff "remains focussed on implementing its strategy - growing digital platforms, expanding via new digital ventures, and optimising print - continuing to serve New Zealand communities".
