A new free LiveBlogging iOS app from deltatre can be used by journalists and readers.

The online service – to be available soon on Android – provides a platform to create a live blog around live events.

Updates can be entered by editors and journalists following events in real-time, while contributors can use it to insert text and pictures, with short video clips an upcoming feature.

The company says LiveBlogging can also be easily integrated into digital properties using a standard widget or API. Published data can also be stored in the customers’ own repository.

The app handles multiple languages simultaneously, with each language working independently or in conjunction with a ‘master’ language, which can drive side-by-side translations.
