Appointment of a new Spanish agent in Raúl Barredo Sabando's Mecaprint is expected to bring significant growth for QI Press Controls and EAE.

The relationship with Sabando goes back to 2002 when he worked as an agent for QIPC, joining them in 2006. Seven years later, he co-founded Mecaprint with Eduardo Martínez Canet.

"I've known the company and directors Menno Jansen and Erik van Holten for a long time," he says. "I know QIPC-EAE systems and the Spanish market, and am convinced the two of us can offer our clients the very best solutions."

QIPC-EAE sales executive Harold Drinhuyzen says the Mecaprint duo have enormous drive and are extremely proactive: "That enthusiasm, in combination with Raúl Barredo Sabando's long experience means we are extremely optimistic about the new collaboration."

The Spanish market is currently in a state of flux, opening up new opportunities. A number of presses are changing hands between companies, making automation systems the best solution to ensure that they meet requirements for quality and efficiency.

"That means new openings for us," says Drinhuyzen. "Raúl knows a lot about these presses and the printing plants from previous projects working with QIPC-EAE," Harold Drinhuyzen adds.
