Australia's Seven TV network will present up to 16 HDF channels as part of its growing role at the upcoming Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

The broadcaster has added 'official supplier' to its support of the event which already includes broadcast rights holder and joint host broadcaster (with NEP Group and Sunset+Vine).

It is the first time Seven has been a sponsor of the Commonwealth Games.

Seven West Media chief executive Tim Worner says a strong working relationship has developed with GOLDOC chief executive Mark Peters and his team: "Our coverage of the games will be unprecedented.

"In addition to comprehensive coverage across our broadcast channels, our app will feature up to 16 HD channels covering every sport, with live streaming, on demand highlights, full match replays, schedules, results, medal tallies and athlete profiles," he says.

Completing the triumvirate of rights holder, broadcaster and now official supplier demonstrated Seven's commitment to helping make the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games the "biggest and best yet".
