Self-service ad portal ready for show

ppi Media has released details of its AdSelf self service portal, initially for AdMan clients using SAP IS-M/AM.

Initially for publishers using the ppi ad production system with SAP IS-M/AM as their commercial ad system, the browser-based AdSelf will be "a comfortable way" for end customers to design and place ads independently.

The HTML5-based portal has been designed in a responsive style, making it also suitable for use on mobile devices. Easy to handle templates and GUI design will ensure that using the portal is "particularly simple" for end users.

ppi says AdSelf can be used both by private and professional users, while a further step will make it possible to place digital ads via AdSelf.

ppi will show the new product at the Ifra Expo/DCX Digital Content Expo event in Berlin next week (October 10-12).

Also for release are new functions for its location-based online service 'thanks', including integration of events and push notifications. ppi anticipates that publishers will use thanks to support local retailers, who will be able to use a publisher-driven platform to promote special offers, services and discounts.

A white label version is already being used by Nordkurier Media as part of its Lokalfuchs initiative, and Nordkurier representatives will be on ppi's stand.
