A new management team at manroland Australasia brings the enthusiasm to help regional customers succeed, group managing director Alexander Wassermann says.

Each with more than 20 years' industry experience, Dennis Wickham and Andreas Schwoepfinger have taken over as managing director and technical service director, replacing Steve Dunwell and Wickham's father Graham, who have retired.

Managing director of manroland web systems Alexander Wassermann says both have been working for manroland web for a long time and understand the unique needs of each customer through the development of strong relationships: "They are well aware of the Australian market requirements and bring a lot of enthusiasm to support the Australasia customers to be successful.

"With the new team, manroland Australasia will keep its strong market position and strengthen it - especially in the service sector."

Wickham's major focus is on sales, covering the company's web presses, digital finishing solutions and automation, as well as manroland sheetfed presses, for which the local subsidiary is responsible. Schwoepfinger takes responsibility for services and products within the group's customised 'Solutions, Support and Store', as well as service support for sheetfed customers.

Schwoepfinger says manroland is looking for growth opportunities in the "huge and successful" region which covers Australia and New Zealand. "With many of the biggest Australian printers as our customers, we want to increase the support for our customers for press upgrades and services but also new state-of-the-art features, such as our online store for wear and spare parts.

"Besides strengthening this important business sector, we are also looking forward to conquering new market areas for digital finishing and offset solutions. I am happy to work with the team within manroland to make manroland web systems Australasia even more successful in the future".

Wassermann paid tribute to the work of Steve Dunwell and Graham Wickham, who had "paved the way for the new young management team to conquer and strengthen all market fields in Australasia.

"We would like to thank them for a great job and at the same time welcome our new management team."
