Extending its 'heavy metal' e-commerce Store, manroland web systems has signed two new suppliers.

On the broadened 'Market-X' site, Dutch used machinery specialist GWS Printing Systems will offer qualified parts for a variety of presses, while Schreiber + Weinert office and workshop furniture has also been added to the B2B site.

manroland's Alexander Wachter is especially excited to have GWS on board following his company's move into service upgrades on third party presses: "Now these customers can avail of our trading platform which covers the relevant spare parts, worldwide," says the e-commerce vice president for remote services, customer support.

"As a logical consequence of the cooperation, the range provided will be further expanded. This will be, once again, real added value for mutual and new customers."

Schreiber + Weinert is the first supplier not directly involved in the printing industry to join the Market-X platform. The cooperation will go beyond hardware, with Schreiber + Weinert providing space and furnishing consulting and planning services for offices, factories and workshops... even the storage of those extra spare parts.
