manroland says it will relocate one Lithoman heatset press for Euro-Druckservice, and upgrade another.

The secondhand press is being moved from Austria to Hungary, and manroland will integrate its closed loop systems into another already in production.

Founded in 1992, EDS covers central and eastern Europe with seven companies in five countries - Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary and Romania.

With the aim of constantly strengthening its position, processes and technology head Peter Krummholz says EDS is always looking for the best possible equipment. "Not only new investments are of great importance but also keeping the presses 'state-of-the-art'," he says.

The company has 15 manroland commercial presses at five of its printing sites, and has spent about 1.5 million Euros on upgrades and service between 2013-2015. Projects include control desk, folder and drive retrofits, with preference going to the original manufacturer of the equipment.
