KBA will take its evolved RotaJet inkjet web back to Hunkeler's Innovationdays next month.

But the model on show at the February 23-26 digital printing event will be the evolved RotaJet L model.

Five models with web widths from 895-1300 mm are now offered - with options to upgrade width, printheads and colour content at a later date - and can be configured to suit a variety of high-volume digital print applications.

"Users can thus react quickly and economically to changing demands without needing to invest in entirely new kit," says a spokesman.

The 781 mm RotaJet 76 was unveiled at DRUPA 2012, and KBA has now designed a VL range for industrial applications requiring widths of more than 1600 mm or even over two metres. Decorative printer Interprint has just fired up the first KBA RotaJet VL with a printing width of 1680 mm.

Last September, HP and KBA announced a partnership to develop a digital press for corrugated printing.
