As it prepares to get out of newspapers, APN News & Media will move further into digital and leapfrog a giant competitor with the buyout of outdoor site owner Adshel and purchase of digital pure-play Conversant Media.
A series of one-day seminars to discuss publishing issues and promote WoodWing technology will wind up in Sydney in December.
Four cities are covered in the 2010 programme, which begins in New York on March 3. Management from the company’s European headquarters will be joined by keynote speaker Mitch Klaif, chief information officer of Time Inc. His topic is the challenges facing the publishing industry and the technology and efforts necessary to overcome them.
Four parallel tracks are then dedicated to newspaper, magazine, book and corporate publishing.
Other road show sessions are planned for Zurich (June) and London (September).
