manroland Goss subsidiary GWS Printing Systems has completed the relocation of a lithoman heatset press in the Netherlands in record time.

The project resulted from changes in the country's media landscape, prompting Thom Ringsma - owner of magazine printer Habo da Costa in Vianen - to restart a closed location in Doetinchem.

Having also acquired the assets of a printing business in Weert, Ringsma contracted GWS to sell its surplus equipment and move the 72-page Lithoman there to Doetinchem.

"Extraordinary teamwork" between teams from Senefelder Misset Doetinchem and GWS led to a relocation in record time, with the press up and running again in just over four months. Start-up and training at the new location was provided by manroland Goss Augsburg specialists with project management by GWS in Waalwijk.

Thom Ringsma describes the relocation project as "a best-practice example for good teamwork". Senefelder Misset Doetinchem will ensure smooth running in the future with a telesupport contract with manroland Goss.
