Gordon Cole has 'passed the baton' at Independent Ink Technologies after transferring the Australian firm to Pigment Dispersions.

The specialist business is in familiar hands, chief executive of Pigment Dispersions Richard van Brink having been a colleague of former IIT owner Wayne Johnstone when they both worked at Australian ink manufacturer FT Wimble.

"So the baton has been passed on," Gordon Cole told GXpress.

The transfer to Pigment Dispersions' premises in the western Sydney suburb of St Marys has been completed, including fitout of a new dedicated laboratory space. Cole now works alongside Richard van Brink and his staff at the new location, with Wayne Johnstone consulting as required.

"With additional technical personnel on hand, we are able to offer the complete services provided previously out of the North Parramatta premises over the past quarter of a century, as well as the knowhow of the colour chemists of Pigment Dispersions," says Cole.

Phone number and email are unchanged in addition to those of the new location in Dunheved Circuit, St Marys. "Independent Ink Technologies looks forward to continuing to be of service to the printing and graphic arts industries and their suppliers," he says.
