Members of America's Local Media Consortium will gain technological benefits from a new partnership with natural language and AI developer Klangoo.
Klangoo's Magnet suite includes NLP-based personalised emails, automated creation of 'topic pages', and an explicit 'its unique follow story/topic/section/author' personalisation feature.
LMC chief executive Fran Wills says the deal will improve the user experience of its members' more than 172 million monthly unique visitors, and directly fit within their audience growth and engagement strategies.
"As media companies are increasingly challenged to compete for clicks with social media networks, video platforms and news aggregators, Magnet tools help them by quickly and effectively boosting user loyalty."
Chief executive Eddy Touma says Klangoo's Magnet has delivered the highest click-through-rates of engagement services for the past four years, "which directly translated into increased monetisation of content assets for its publisher clients."
