Peter Drozdowicz has retired, drawing a line on a career which began with Collie Australia in 1967 and saw him rise to chief executive of DS Chemport.

His more than five decades experience in the printing and graphic arts industry included 23 with DS Chemport (Australia) which he joined in 1995, and saw through to its acquisition by Fujifilm in 2003.

A fellow of Certified Practising Accountants in Australia, he said he believed he was leaving the company "well positioned for the challenges ahead", and with an excellent team of people, first class facilities and the technical and financial support of Fujifilm.

DS Chemport makes printing chemicals, and imports and distributes consumables through offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide, and via a sister company in Malaysia.

His career started with Collie (Australia) in 1967 and continued to Printing Technologies in 1982 before he moved to DS Chemport.
