One of Heidelberg’s top salesmen will share leadership of manroland Web Systems in a new role.
The company says 49-year-old Joern Gossé will join its executive board in Augsburg, “taking over management” with Eckhard Hoerner-Marass and will be responsible for sales and service.
In that capacity he fills the gap left following the sudden departure last March of Peter Kuisle – who had been executive vice president and executive board member – following a 25 year association.
Gossé (right) has spent his 25-year career in printing with Heidelberg. A graduate engineer, he joined the sheetfet press maker in 1988 and managed several of the company’s German plants, also gaining international sales and service experience. In 2005, he was appointed managing director of Heidelberg’s northern region, based in Hamburg, responsible for sales, service and finance with 130 employees.
manroland says Hoerner-Marass stays spokesman of its management. “We are very pleased to have Joern Gossé as a management colleague with his great experience in sales and service and his profound knowledge of the print industry,” he says. “Together with our well-established management team, we are looking forward to constantly moving onward on the companies road to success.”
• manroland says that “despite a weak market at the second half of 2013”, it “could reach” a positive result.
