Press controls at two Lee Enterprises sites in the USA are being upgraded by Harland Simon.

The contract covers press controls and upper level management information systems at The Times in Munster, Indiana, and the Davenport, Iowa Quad City Times.

The changes upgrade from a set of individual modules to a seamless workflow based process with a familiar Windows ‘look and feel’. Features include wizards for job creation, a more configurable system with seamless integration of manual and automatic impositioning tools, and enhanced graphic displays and operations. The new platform supports the latest Microsoft operating system and database versions.

The company says Munster will be live by the end of October and Davenport by end of November.
