Goss International has named SRS Graphic Systems as its agent in Southern Africa.

The Johannesburg-based business is led by Lee Singh, a former newspaper and press engineer with almost 20 years' industry experience.

A former apprentice engineer at Independent Newspapers in Johannesburg, he joined Heidelberg as an installation engineer for web presses before moving into sales.

In founding SRS Graphic Systems, his ambition has been to develop the agency through partnership. He will continue to grow, support and service a large installed base of Goss customers covering Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Lesotho and Swaziland.

Regional sales manager John Chambers says the arrangement ensures greater responsiveness with local sales support and expertise: "It also ensures that our customers are well advised for the long-term as SRS truly understands the market dynamics of this region and Lee himself has extensive experience with Goss presses."

Singh had been instrumental in securing recent successes for Goss at both WordPress Namibia and Printing and Publishing in Botswana.
