Few doubt that it was Singapore Press Holdings' night at WAN-Ifra's Asian Digital Media Awards event in Hong Kong.

We counted 13 awards to the Straits Times publisher (though some tally 11 or 12) with its 'It changed my life' online video series also triumphing in WAN-Ifra´s World Digital Awards last month.

SPH took five gold, six silver and two bronze awards in the 12 categories, including all three levels for the 'outstanding new product' category.

What was left was shared between leading regional news media companies including Apple Daily, South China Morning Post and Thomson Reuters.

A project for Western Australia's Road Safety Commission, 'Speedkills' took two awards for Seven West Media. Magazine publishers such as Mongoose Publishing and digital pure players like lifestyle website WardrobeTrendsFashion (WTF) were also honoured.

Two new categories this year honour the best lifestyle website and lifestyle mobile service. The presentations followed the first day of the Digital Media Asia conference, attended by 240 media executives from 28 countries.
