Video advertising platform SpotXchange has named Sujen Selva as its Singapore-based regional manager for southeast Asia.

He will be responsible for leading and supporting efforts and publisher and advertiser relations, reporting to Asia Pacific managing director Matt Von der Muhll.

SpotXchange says it has achieved “significant growth” in the Asia Pacific since opening its Australian office in 2011, and has seen programmatic video advertising revenue in the region grow almost 900 per cent from 2011 to 2013.

Von der Muhll says digital video advertising in the region is growing at an exponential rate and Selva’s role was created to help meet this demand. “We see a significant opportunity in the region, and this is the next step of many we anticipate for continued investment and expansion of our presence in Asia Pacific,” he says.

Selva was previously social specialist at Adconion Australia, where he was involved in the launch of the company’s social media platform.
