Intermex, distributor of the Mexican group Televisa, will use Protecmedia's SHIPO circulation product to revamp distribution of its magazine distribution.

More than 25,000 points of sale in Mexico and another 80,000 in the rest of the Americas are involved. Televisa publishes 350 magazines, printing a total of 80 million copies which are delivered through a complex network.

Distributor Intermex is implementing an ambitious 'demand planning' will optimise costs and achieve a controlled management of orders and deliveries for each point of sale. SHIPO Circulation will be the central module, integrated into the distributor's ERP system with functions including estimating and calculating deliveries.

Intermex distributes two thirds of Mexico's most popular magazines, supporting that with administrative and marketing services. It owns the leading distributors in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Panamá and Peru.
