A 96-page Lithoman heatset web for Mohn Media will be the German printer's third and the tenth sold by maker manroland web.

The Gütersloh printer is expanding capacity and strengthening its position as a leading European web printer with a further high performance heatset press, the Lithoman S having already proved ideal for Mohn Media in the insert business.

Production and technology manager Roland Witte says its productivity and high level of production variability, "fits exactly into our business model for high volume runs of brochures and advertising inserts.

"We can now fulfil our customer's requirements in this demanding market segment, even better."

The 96-page press will replace two older 32-page Lithoman presses at Gütersloh at the end of this year, bringing to three the number of manroland presses with the 2.86 metre web width. Like its sister machines, it will be completely equipped with fully integrated inline control systems from manroland web systems to guarantee the lowest level of waste and constant continuous printing quality thanks to the fan-out register, ink register, cut-off register and ink density control.

Both short grain and long grain folders are to be installed, allowing for a multitude of design formats to be produced, especially important in the brochure and advertising insert sector.
