News Corp Australia is promoting its newsmedia and Foxtel football coverage with a ten-stop tour of regional communities.

The promotion combines its TV, print and digital sites to launch the NRL and AFL seasons across three states.

The tour builds on a tour of Victoria last year. Foxtel - which News owns jointly with Telstra - and News Corp Australia will join forces with its Fox TV stars and footy writers as part of an expanded Full-On Footy Tour including former NRL and AFL greats.

Starting on February 20, the roadshow will tour through New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria, with school visits, footy clinics and "Full-On Footy Tour" Sportsman's Nights in each region. Viewers and readers will be invited to register to attend the free events which will be held at schools and Foxtel venues across the eastern seaboard.

NRL icons Matty Johns, Gorden Tallis, Justin Hodges, Michael Ennis, Bryan Fletcher and Nathan Hindmarsh along with League Lifehosts Lara Pitt, Jess Yates and Hannah Hollis will visit Queensland and New South Wales to meet fans on the NRL tour.

Some of AFL's biggest names, including Jonathan Brown, Dermott Brereton, Nick Riewoldt, Garry Lyon, Jason Dunstall, David King and Paul Roos, will join Fox Footy's Sarah Jones and Kelli Underwood to hit the Victorian roads for the AFL tour.

News newspapers including the (Sydney) Daily Telegraph, Townsville Bulletin, Cairns Post and Sunshine Coast Daily, (Melbourne) Herald Sun and Geelong Advertiser will support the tour in print and online.
