A new faster HP PageWide inkjet web was among the company’s contributions to the Printing United Expo in Las Vegas this week.

The T485 HD promises up to 244 metres/minute in colour or black and white, with a new ‘Brilliant Ink’ offering to improve colour gamut directly on coated and uncoated offset media.

It will be available in the first half of 2023, and as an upgrade to existing PageWide T400 series presses.

HP has also upgraded its PageWide T250 HD to 244 metres/minute in mono mode, a claimed 60 per cent productivity improvement and said to be the fourth major upgrade to the platform since its introduction in 2010.

Printing United was also the occasion to celebrate the milestone of 750 billion pages printed on PageWide commercial presses, with PSPs printing “almost double the annual market growth rate”, according to PageWide global head and general manager Annette Friskopp, “testament to their quality and reliability”.

One of the first global installations of the 150 metres/minute PageWide Advantage 2200 has taken place in northern France at DataOne, part of Groupe Diffusion Plus.

ColorPro collaborations on paper choice for the range have now been extended to include UPM, Pixelle, Burgo, Sylvamo, Crown Van Gelder, Georgia-Pacific and Mondi.
