An European Digital Press Association award for “next level” inkjet printing is one of three recent successes for Screen and its Truepress JET 560HDX.
The inkjet web was named best commercial web below 550mm web-width at a ceremony on May 20 during FESPA Barcelona.
The awards are judged by representatives of 20 European trade magazines, and evaluated for innovation relevance, usability, productivity, quality and durability, ‘overall effectiveness’, sustainability and environmental impact, and overall value.
The press uses high-density water-based ink, now in its latest iteration and able to print on offset coated, inkjet-coated, or uncoated substrates. It prints at up to 150 metres/minute, and includes new drying and transport mechanisms. Screen Meanwhile, in the US, Printing United bestowed ‘certified digital press’ status on the 560HDX for its print reproduction, density stability and colour accuracy “comparable to traditional commercial offset printing”.
