San Francisco – the “global epicentre” of technology and AI – will be the subject of an INMA MediaTech & AI conference and study tour in October.
Organisers say that while Silicon Valley was the symbolic centre of tech for decades, “the gravity has shifted north” into San Francisco itself in the AI era.
Dates are October 19-23, and the list of confirmed study tour stops speaks for itself, with AWS, Cloudflare, Hearst, /LiveRamp, Microsoft, OpenAI, Salesforce and the San Francisco Chronicle only a start.
With companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Perplexity, AI is helping to attract talent and innovation to the city, San Francisco has become “the living laboratory for how AI is reshaping search, content, interfaces, agents and consumer behaviour”.
Topics will include prioritising LLM relationships, learning how products will improve, what new personalisation will look like, the emerging multimodal norms, and a strategies from ‘extinction-level event’ to real systems.
