Danish local newspaper Folketidende has gone live with Roxen's editorial portal in a move to update tools and improve workflow.

The newspaper which covers Lolland-Falster in Denmark, worked with developer Roxen and Norwegian partner TikkTakk to deliver the platform for print and web, and implement a template-based workflow.

"With the new technology and with a workflow that allows our journalists spend more time on what counts - local content that is relevant for our readers - we are now well positioned to effectively meet current and future demands from readers and advertisers in the communities we serve," says chief executive Jan Holmboe.

Folketidende is the first major local media company in Denmark to switch to Roxen, despite the company's strong customer base in Sweden and Norway.

Founded in 1874, Lolland-Falsters Folketidende publishes the flagship newspaper, as well as magazines and subscribed weeklies in adjacent communities. Radio station Radio Sydhavsøerne is also part of the group.
