Buzzfeed is pulling its Australian news operation to focus on the US.
Staff will learn today of stand-downs which may leave staff eligible for government Job Keeper payments.
Audiences will instead be able to access global content from the Buzz, Video and Tasty brands, together with other English-language news, although the UK coverage is also being canned.
Buzzfeed will focus on "news with a global audience" including social news, celebrity and investigations.
