Arc Publishing has arrived in the Asia Pacific with a new subscription platform in a new deal with NZME

The Auckland-headquartered media company is known for Kiwi brands including the New Zealand Herald and Newstalk ZB, among more than 80 media outlets in print, radio, digital and ecommerce.

As the newest international client of the Washington Post business unit, it joins more than a dozen clients using its digital publishing platform worldwide.

Washington Post chief information officer Shailesh Prakash says Arc's footprint continued rapid expansion demonstrates its capability to adapt to customers in diverse geographies and of any size. "We're investing significantly in Arc to ensure we have a SaaS platform that is top of mind for publishers planning for long-term digital growth and innovation," he says. "We look forward to working with NZME as they transform their digital business."

Working with NZME's technology team, Arc engineers launch a new set of publishing tools understood to include new subscriptions technologies developed by the US publisher.

NZME chief executive Michael Boggs says using the Arc suite is a significant step in NZME's goal to stay at the forefront of global technological advancement.

"Our relationship with our audiences and advertisers is core to our business success," he said. "Delivering content and premium advertising opportunities to them every day is vital and the Arc Publishing suite will enable this to continue to happen.

"The impact The Post has seen globally over the last 12 months has been phenomenal, and we see great things coming from this partnership."
