If you thought Heidelberger Druckmaschinen just means printing machines, it's time to catch up.

Enter the new Heidelberg Wallbox Energy Control, a charging solution for one or more vehicles.

The German press maker says demand for electric vehicles in Europe is such that it is extending sales of its charging technology on the back of two years of market success in Germany.

Wallbox EU systems are also now available to order in the UK, France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Spain and the Netherlands. It is approved for all European countries except Norway.

Upcoming features including integrated load management will enable simultaneous charging of multiple vehicles, while integration into a home energy management system to the Modbus RTU standard optimises domestic current production.

Heidelberg says "several thousand" customers have already been impressed by the quality and technology.
