With the increasing emphasis on truth and trust, WAN-Ifra is organising a new Indian workshop on investigative and non-fiction writing techniques.
The workshop on December 15-16 will focus on new opportunities available for journalists, and will introduce participants to investigating organised crime and corruption.
It will address: the "booming market" for non-fiction writing; podcast opportunities; documentary formats; and scripted series, looking at opportunities in entertainment.
Trainer Josy Joseph is the founder of Confluence Media, a platform agnostic company taking investigative journalism and creative non-fiction writing to various platforms. He is a former senior editor with The Hindu, Times of India and other media houses, and the author of 'A Feast of Vultures: The Hidden Business of Democracy in India', which won the jury award at the 2018 Crossword Awards for best non-fiction book.
The virtual workshop - held in partnership with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung - runs from 11am-1pm IST on December 15 and 16. Details and costs from WAN-Ifra.
